Al Madinah Al Munawara

Madina, or as Muslims call it “Taibah al Taibah”, is one of the main destinations for millions of Muslims around the world. It is the first capital of Islam in history, and the second holiest place for Muslims after Makkah al-Mukarramah. Madina is located in Hejaz Region in the west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It has the Noble Prophet’s Mosque, which was built by the Prophet himself in the first year after Hijrah (622 AD.). It is one of the largest mosques in the world after the Holy Mosque.   • Makkah Railway Station is 3.5 km from the Grand Mosque of Makkah. Buses transport passengers from the Grand Mosque to the train station and vice versa.
  • Madina Railway Station is 9 km from the Prophet's Mosque. Buses transport passengers from the Mosque to the train station and vice versa

  • Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport is the main airport of Madinah. It is about 15 km to the northeast of the city. It is especially significant as it is the arial gateway of Muslims to the Prophet's Mosque and a port of arrival and departure of international Hajj and 'Umrah pilgrims.
